More Out of Touch

On the way home from that “favorite watering hole” some fool on the radio decided that it was perfectly acceptable to follow Scritti Politti’s “A Perfect Way” with Rick Springfiled’s “Jessie’s Girl“. Now, it was an eighties show and no one will argue that both songs qualify, but that doesn’t make it right. There is no way that anyone who actually knew who Scritti Politti was at the time that song was released would have sat through Jessie’s Girl.

They would have thought they were way too cool.

And conversely, Jessie’s friends never understood the perfect way.
