Temperature Cycles

There’s been a lot of hubbub over a recent report stating the earth is it’s warmest in 400 years. Take a look at this graph showing temperature and CO2 concentrations over the last 400,000 years:

Antarctic Ice Core Data

Note the cyclical nature of the temperature rise, and the fact that the CO2 increases follow the temperature increases. Now maybe this is really the 4th human civilization and each time the liberals convince everyone give up all technology and hide all evidence that they ever existed to stop global warming, but I’m guessing the temperature increases this time are pretty similar in cause to the last three, and it’s primarily not our technology.

And, barring the earlier civilizations theory, it seems likely the same mechanism that caused the temperatures to drop again once they reached a certain level will work again this time. I’m more worried about the big drop-off in temperature that follows each one of those peaks.

Fortunately we have all these Global Warming studies to burn for fuel.
