This article describes very high quality counterfeit $100 notes that the Secret Service believes are being produced by North Korea. According to one defector, the program is considered in Pyongyang to be “a good weapon to bring down the capitalistic system.” Some people are suggesting that the government should turn a blind eye to these activities because they are a sticking point in negotiations with North Korea on other matters, including the issue of their Nuclear Weapons program. I have yet to be shown why we should allow one program aimed at bringing down our society to be pursued in order to gain points in negotiations over another program aimed at bringing down our society, but I am not a diplomat so I presumably I wouldn’t understand.
