When I was about 20, I went with a friend to hunt groundhogs in Virginia. It was good fun, because it involved fairly long range shots. The farmers were keen to have some help with the pests, because their burrows could sink a tractor wheel sometimes and that’s beyond the direct crop damage. It’s a shame the Colorado farmers don’t have enough volunteer hunters to take care of their Prairie Dog problem, but if you’re already shooting 20 a week and not keeping up, I suppose this is necessary.
