Boeing 747 Large Cargo Freighter

Boeing announced the successful first flight of the 747 LCF on September 9 in Taipei. Take a look at the first picture in order to get an idea of what we are talking about here. That’s a 747-400 in the background. Look at the modification of the fuselage in the LCF in the foreground. On top of that enormous body, the entire tail section of the LCF swings away so that cargo can be slipped inside. And the thing flies. What a wonderful world.
