While Hank Johnson is certainly not responsible for Cynthia Mckinneys ridiculous behavior, this strikes me as a nice gesture:
The man who knocked Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney out of Congress said he immediately recognized the name tag of the Capitol Hill police officer he ran into by chance in a congressional hallway this week.
“I apologized to him for any embarrassment the incident may have caused him or his family, and he appreciated that,”
I hope that Johnson does well in his new position. I didn’t vote for him but he does represent our district, having garnered something like 75 percent of the vote.
Experience had conditioned me to expect embarrassment each time I read a news article about McKinney. It is a welcome change to see my representatives name in print and read the story with hope.
